Print a whole shelf of QR labels on A4

How it works in Where’s My Drive

1. Scan your drives so each one has a catalog and a QR code.
2. On the drive list click Print all labels and pick a format:
   • Micro 25×25 mm — USB sticks, bare NVMe
   • Small 38×38 mm — 2.5-inch portable drives
   • Standard 62×29 mm — most drives (default)
   • Large 65×45 mm — desktop drives and RAID boxes; also prints category and note
   • Spine 90×22 mm — drives stored upright like books
3. The app lays every drive out on A4 sheets with print-safe margins and opens your browser’s print dialog.
4. Print at 100% / actual size — not “fit to page” — and cut or peel.

Which paper

• Full-sheet sticker paper (A4, matte): the most forgiving — print, then cut with scissors or a craft knife.
• Pre-cut label sheets: neat, but only if the layout matches your sheet exactly.
• Plain paper + clear tape: perfectly fine for a first test.

Avoiding the classic mistakes

• Scaling: “Fit to page” shrinks the QR codes and breaks the layout. Always 100%.
• Toner saving mode: turn it off — grey QR modules scan badly.
• Too small: keep QR codes at 20 mm or more for arm’s-length scanning.

Cutting labels neatly

A metal ruler and a craft knife give straighter edges than scissors. Round the corners slightly — square corners are the first to lift. Press each label down firmly for a few seconds; adhesive bonds better with pressure and a clean, dust-free surface.

When to switch to a label printer
